Hello Kirby

Over the weekend, I migrated this site from Statamic to Kirby. I’d been curious about this CMS for a while, and moving my personal site gave me the perfect opportunity to explore it in a low-key way.
There are always new concepts and things to learn when picking up a new CMS, but the Kirby docs are excellent and give many practical examples that I could use out-of-the-box. It’s a testament to those, and the ease of install, that I managed to migrate the site in about a day of effort.
Migration notes
Content
As with any migration, content export/import was easily the biggest headache. I’m thankful to David Kennedy for publishing a Gist that was incredibly helpful in automating the import of the Bookmarks.
The Commonplace and Books section didn’t make the cut for now. I’ll migrate those at some point in the future.
RSS
Apologies for any RSS weirdness. The RSS URL hasn’t changed, but the format has – sorry if that messes things up for you. I think everything is working ok now, but please let me know if not (link below).
Shoutout to Kev Quirk’s article on adding an RSS feed to Kirby.
Misc
There are a few other things I need to get working again – categories in Writing, tag filtering in Bookmarks – but I’ll implement these in the fullness of time. For now, I’m pleased to get this over-the-line and start learning more about what Kirby can do.
